Our Story
Welcome to Pink, Blue & Mommy! My name is Evelyn Rodriguez, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a mother of four and a doula with over 11 years of experience, I understand firsthand how beautiful, overwhelming, and demanding the journey of motherhood can be — especially in those tender days after childbirth.
The inspiration for Pink, Blue & Mommy comes from my own experiences. My first two children arrived through natural vaginal deliveries, but my third decided to make a bold entrance, requiring an unexpected cesarean section. While every birth is its own incredible story, each also leaves its mark on a mother’s body, mind, and spirit.
Like so many families, my husband needed to return to work shortly after our newest addition arrived, leaving me to manage three energetic little ones, a newborn, and a home — all while healing from major surgery. The days were long, the nights were sleepless, and the exhaustion was relentless. I began to feel overwhelmed, fatigued, and emotionally drained.
It was during one of those difficult moments that my mother came to my rescue. She stepped in to care for the household while I took a few precious hours to rest and recover. That simple, thoughtful act made an incredible difference. Not only did my pain lessen, but my mood lifted, and I felt a renewed sense of strength. In those quiet, restful moments, I realized something powerful: rest is not a luxury for mothers — it’s essential for healing, wellness, and the ability to show up for our families and ourselves.
That experience ignited a passion within me. I had already spent years supporting other women as a doula, witnessing the unspoken needs of mothers during and after childbirth. But now, I felt called to create something more — a supportive space where moms could feel seen, heard, and cared for beyond the delivery room. And so, Pink, Blue & Mommy was born.
Today, Pink, Blue & Mommy is a community and resource designed to uplift mothers through every stage of their postpartum journey. We celebrate the joys, honor the challenges, and offer support where it’s needed most. Whether you’re a first-time mom, a seasoned parent, or somewhere in between, this is a space for you.
Thank you for visiting. I invite you to explore, connect, and remember — you deserve rest, care, and community, just as much as the beautiful family you nurture every day.
